Scope & Definitions
This Policy applies to personal data processed by SSDPL in connection with the Services. Under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (“DPDP”), SSDPL acts as a Data Fiduciary for most processing. Vendors who process data for us act as Data Processors. “Controller/Processor” follow GDPR/UK GDPR usage.
Collection Notices
We provide purpose-specific notices at or before the point of collection (e.g., sign-up, assessments, payments, certificate issuance). Notices state the purpose, key data items, and link to this Policy. Where consent is the basis, you may withdraw consent at any time (effects are prospective).
Information We Collect
- Account & identity: name, email, phone; optional profile fields you add.
- Learning & credentials: enrollments, progress, assessments, certificates, outcomes/grades, attendance.
- Transactions: orders, invoices/receipts, payment references (card/bank data stays with PCI-compliant gateways).
- Communications: emails, forms, support tickets, surveys, testimonials.
- Device & usage: IP, device/browser type, locale, cookie IDs, pages, events, diagnostics, crash logs.
- Integrations: data from third-party sign-in, employer/institutional sponsorship, or registered Consent Managers.
- KYC/eligibility (if required): limited attributes or documents via vetted verification vendors.
How We Use Information
- Operate, maintain, and personalize the learning experience and your account.
- Process enrollments, payments, certificates; provide support; prevent fraud/abuse.
- Improve content and Services (analytics, quality, research, testing).
- Send service communications (e.g., transactional emails, policy updates). With consent or as permitted, send marketing about courses/events (opt out any time).
- Comply with law and enforce terms.
Legal Bases (GDPR/UK)
For EEA/UK users: contract necessity; legitimate interests (security, improvement, relevance); legal obligation; and consent (e.g., certain marketing/cookies). You may withdraw consent at any time.
How We Share Information
- Vendors/Processors (hosting, analytics, communications, payment, verification) under contract.
- Partners/Institutions/Employers where your access is sponsored/integrated (e.g., progress/completion).
- Legal/Safety to comply with law, lawful requests, and protect rights/security.
- Business transfers in merger, acquisition, or restructuring (with safeguards).
- No sale of personal data. We do not sell personal data, nor share it for cross-context behavioral advertising as defined in some US laws; ad cookies can be controlled via settings.
Cookies & Similar Technologies
We use essential, functional (preferences), analytics, and (where enabled) marketing/advertising cookies or pixels. You can manage non-essential categories any time via our Cookie Preferences page and through your browser. Disabling certain cookies may affect features.

Security
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards (access controls, encryption in transit, hardening, monitoring). No method is perfect—use strong, unique passwords and protect your credentials.
Your Rights (India — DPDP 2023)
As a Data Principal, you may:
- Access information about personal data we process and a processing summary.
- Correction & Erasure of inaccurate or no-longer-necessary data (subject to legal limits).
- Consent Withdrawal where processing is based on consent (prospective effect).
- Grievance Redressal via our Grievance Officer (see Contact).
- Nomination of an individual to exercise rights in case of death or incapacity.
How to submit a request: email grievance@samadskills.com with subject “DPDP Request”, include your registered email/phone, request type, and proof of identity if asked. We aim to respond within statutory timelines. If unsatisfied, you may escalate per DPDP rules, including to the Data Protection Board of India when operationalized.
Consent Managers: Where supported, you may manage consent via a registered Consent Manager. We will honor verified requests received that way.
Your Rights (EEA/UK)
For EEA/UK users: access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection (including to profiling based on legitimate interests). You may complain to your Supervisory Authority. Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw it any time.
US State Disclosures
For residents of certain US states with privacy laws (e.g., CA/VA/CO/CT/UT): you may have rights to access, delete, correct, portability, and opt-out of targeted advertising, sale, or profiling. We do not sell personal data. Opt-outs for advertising cookies can be exercised via cookie settings and your browser.
International Transfers
We may process data in locations outside your country. Where required, we implement appropriate safeguards (e.g., contractual commitments) to protect your data during transfers.
Automated Decisions & Profiling
We do not make solely automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects about you. We may use limited profiling (e.g., course recommendations). Adjust marketing preferences or contact us to request review.
Children’s Data
In India, a “child” is under 18. Our Services are intended for adults and older teens under appropriate guardian oversight. If you believe a child provided data without required consent, contact us and we will act promptly.
Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy for operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. We will post updates here and revise the “Effective” date; material changes may be notified via email or in-product messages.
